In-Progress Construction Photography in NYC

These images were made for Primary Built. I photographed construction sites for Myodetox, Wall Street IT Management, and Convene.

I really enjoy working in construction spaces. There is so much geometry to enjoy, so much light and shadow. It feels good to be a participant in the history of documenting people who make things. So many images lend themselves to black-and-white processing, though I use color when the colors matter—like the sparks flying in one of the photos below. It feels very good to do this in New York City, to be a witness to change among so much history.

Anyway.
