3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show at Ofrendafest

These photographs are from the closing celebration of Climate Week at @ofrendafest featuring their third annual “Indigenous Fashion Show” with Leo Cerda @amazonleo of @hakhuamazon.

From Ofrendafest:

Leo is a Kichwa leader, climate activist, and founder of the Hahku Project. His advocacy spans from grassroots rainforest defense to international platforms, highlighting Indigenous leadership in climate solutions.

HAKHU Amazon Design was formed by community leaders and Leo Cerda as a way to provide income for people in areas that are hard hit by oil exploitation and are under financial pressure to sell out to the corporations.

The opening ceremony was performed by Chief Tashka @tashka_yawanawa and Laura Yawanawa, and a flute performance was demonstrated by Orlando Villarraga @ocgv_sound

The evening wrapped with a musical performance by the legendary indigenous artist Eric Terena, @ericterena

Eric Terena is from the Terena community in Amazonian Brazil. A co-founder of the Indigenous multimedia collective Mídia India, Eric uses music and media to amplify Indigenous voices and movements worldwide.

“Imagining Climate Futures” @climatefutures.art was also on display, a showcase of 20 original works created by members of the 2025 Climate Storytelling 2075
